Early Years Teaching Assistant | Full-time & Flexible Roles

Do you enjoy working with younger children and helping them build confidence in those all-important first years at school?

Veritas Education are looking for Early Years Teaching Assistants to work across Primary schools and Early Years settings in Leeds & Harrogate

We're looking for people who are patient, enthusiastic and genuinely enjoy getting involved in the classroom.

Your day could include:

  • Supporting children through play-based learning
  • Helping with phonics, early reading and number work
  • Setting up activities and learning areas
  • Supporting children 1:1 or in small groups
  • Encouraging communication, confidence and independence
  • Helping children settle into routines
  • Supporting children with SEND where required
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team

    • We'd love to hear from experienced Teaching Assistants, Nursery Practitioners and Early Years staff, but we're also happy to speak with people who have strong experience working with young children in other settings.

    We have a mixture of day-to-day, part-time and longer-term opportunities available across Leeds.

    All applicants will be subject to the relevant safeguarding, reference, right-to-work and DBS checks.

  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have legal right to work in the UK
  • You must be willing to attend a registration interview

    • Veritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
