About your opportunity:

As Director, Regional HR, you will lead a capable regional HR team to provide trusted advice, manage workforce risks, and support effective people practices across workforce planning, performance, conduct, health, safety, and wellbeing.

You will work closely with school, regional, and central office stakeholders to ensure HR services are responsive to local context and aligned to system priorities.

This role will suit a confident and collaborative HR leader who can navigate complexity, build strong relationships, exercise sound judgement, and contribute to a high-performing, safe, and inclusive workforce that supports every student to realise their potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for the delivery of contemporary business partnering to support senior leaders and managers and the consistent high quality services delivered across multiple customers and stakeholders in a range of locations.
  • Partners with leaders and supervisors to tailor strategies that address business needs, balance risk, and promote compliance within a human resource management framework
  • Lead the local service delivery on behalf of the Branch and act as the conduit between human resources and defined business partners to ensure system organisational needs are aligned and met.
  • Provide leadership and strategy development across functional areas of human resources to ensure the delivery of best practice integrated strategies and initiatives to achieve superior performance.
  • Lead, manage and direct the activities of team within the broader portfolio to achieve established goals and objectives.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including Professional Associations and Unions, with a view to keeping abreast of best practice, building trust and developing strategic alliances allowing for delivery of effective, efficient people management services.
