Your opportunity:
The Deputy Principal - Senior Schooling plays a critical role in leading the school's senior secondary provision, ensuring students are supported to successfully attain their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) or Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA).
This role provides strategic leadership of senior schooling, including curriculum, assessment, case management and pathway planning, while working closely with students, families, staff and external partners to remove barriers to achievement and engagement.
A key focus is ensuring every student leaves Nanango State High School with a meaningful and achievable pathway into further education, training, employment or other post-school destinations.
Through strong transition planning, individualised support and close monitoring of progress towards QCE/QCIA requirements, the Deputy Principal - Senior Schooling helps ensure students are well prepared for life beyond school.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
