Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools (Bury)

Day-to-Day & Short-Term Cover | Veritas Education

Veritas Education are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Bury. We are seeking confident, reliable individuals who are available for day-to-day and short-term cover roles, supporting schools with staff absences.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Ensure students remain on task with assigned work
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons

    • This is an excellent opportunity for:

  • Experienced Cover Supervisors or Teaching Assistants
  • Individuals with strong behaviour management and communication skills

    • Requirements

  • Experience working with young people (education, coaching, youth work etc.)
  • Strong classroom presence and confidence leading groups
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
