About the Role

Veritas Education are currently seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Wigan. This role involves delivering pre-set work to students in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education, as well as those seeking flexible work on a day-to-day or short-term basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
  • Maintain good classroom behaviour and ensure students remain on task
  • Manage the classroom in line with school policies
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons

    • Requirements

  • Experience working with young people (school-based or similar) is desirable
  • Strong classroom presence and confident behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different school settings
  • A genuine interest in education and supporting student learning
