Position Information

Plumpton Public School is located in western Sydney and has an enrolment of 516 students. Students come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. The school's enrolment includes an 8% Aboriginal student cohort and 72% of students from an English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) background.

There are twenty mainstream and seven inclusive education classes. Staff bring a range of experience, from early career through to highly experienced teachers. Teachers are committed to explicit, high-quality teaching, with a focus on developing strong foundations in literacy and numeracy.

The school is focused on evidence-informed practice, including the explicit teaching of reading and numeracy and the ongoing monitoring of student progress. Teaching and learning programs are informed by the regular collection and analysis of student assessment data to ensure differentiation and responsiveness to student need.
