People, Place and Perceptions: Exploring an integrated approach for civics and citizenship education (online webinar)

This interactive Zoom webinar focuses on the HASS key idea the ways people, places, ideas and events are perceived and connected and is targeted toward primary school teachers. It explores how to integrate conceptual frames from civics and citizenship education with history and geography i order to make the most of the time provided HASS in the priamry school timetable. You will delve into how to make conenctions between the key learning areas by way of using a key question and inquiry-based learning activities.

Webinar presented by Associate Professor Angelina Ambrosetti.
Angelina works in Initial Teacher Education at Central Queensland University and is the current president of SEAQ. Angelina spent 16 years teaching in Queensland primary schools prior to moving into the tertiary sector. She is a passionate educator of future teachers with keen interests in professional experience and HASS.
