Tenterfield High School, situated 18km south of the Qld border, is a rural school catering for the needs of approximately 250 students, including 10% Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander students. Quality teaching and learning form the basis for excellent educational programs and initiatives. Students are active within the wider community and reach high levels in a variety of academic, co-curricular and sporting fields. Staff range from experienced to early career and work collegially to continuously improve the educational opportunities at Tenterfield High School. The school enjoys very strong parent and community support with significant ties to the local Aboriginal community and has in place a well developed student wellbeing support system.
