Drake Public School is located in the village of Drake in Northern NSW. It is approximately 50 kilometres to the west of Tenterfield and 75 kilometres to the east of Casino on the Bruxner Highway. The school sits proudly on the land of the Wahlubal people of the Bundjalung Nation and supports children from surrounding areas and the village of Drake, which is a rural and remote community. Current student enrolment is 17 students and the school is currnently running a Kindergarten - Year 6 class. A feature of the school is the kitchen garden program with comprehensive kitchen facilities and highly productive vegetable gardens.
At Drake Public School there is an emphasis placed on improving the educational outcomes of all children, through the implementation of a well-balanced curriculum that maintains a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy. Collaborative planning is a distinctive feature of the school. The school offers a supportive environment that caters for the needs of the individual student. Drake Public School welcomes the support of parents and caregivers and is the focal point of the community.
