Queanbeyan High School is a future focussed
comprehensive high school with a growing enrolment, currently 550 (7-12)
students. Major refurbishment of learning spaces across the school including
English due for completion in 2020, will reflect the latest in research on best
practice Pedagogy and Architecture.
Our School is located on Ngunnawal land in
the progressive regional centre of Queanbeyan close to Canberra and the ACT.
13.5% Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander students are supported by our
Aboriginal Learning Centre Team to close the educational gap with strong
support from our partners in the local AECG.

Students from 42 different nationalities are supported by staff and programs
targeting English skills for academic success. 7 support classes including IM,
IO, IS, 3 Autism, ED are integrated in our mainstream settings.

including a wraparound wellbeing structure, to ensure all students are known
and valued and graduates have the intrapersonal and interpersonal skills for
success beyond formal schooling.
A collaborative community of practice is
growing within and between schools. Future focused pedagogies and the relationship
