Muswellbrook
South Public School is located in the Upper Hunter and has an enrolment of 560
students in 2020 which includes an enrolment of 180 Aboriginal students. The
school is well resourced and has strong community support. Under the Early
Action for Success program, Muswellbrook South Public has a full-time
Instructional Leader which has enabled strong professional development for staff
in literacy and numeracy. There is a mix of experienced and early career
teachers, working collaboratively to provide quality teaching and learning for
all students, including those in the 23 mainstream and 7 support classes. The
school promotes Positive Behaviour for Learning and its core values of being ‘a
safe, respectful and responsible learner’ embedded in programs, practices and
relationships.
