What is a zip file?

A ZIP file may contain one or more files or directories that may have been compressed.

What payment methods are available?

Credit or debit card payments are available. All cards, including American Express.

Can I store my payment details?

Yes, of course to make it easier for future payments you can securely store your card details.

What is your refund policy?

Given resources are delivered electronically it is difficult to return an item that is purchased.

There are exceptions to this, refunds will be considered when the resource files are compromised, or the resource delivered is not what it was described it would be.  If the resource is compromised or misrepresented then please contact us help@educationhq.com

Can anyone list and sell or share a resource?

Yes, individuals and organisations can list resources.

Is it free to list a resource?

Yes, it is free to list a resource.

How do I add a resource?

Simply create a free EducationHQ account here and click on resources when you are in your account.  For organisations, you can create an organisation account within the user account and post resources as an organisation.  

Is there a limit to the number of resources that can be listed?

No, there is no limit to the number of resources you can list.

Files and formats

  • Accepted file formats: pretty much any file format can be uploaded.
  • File sizes: Maximum file size per upload is 200MB
  • Maximum files: You are able to upload unlimited files.  However, if you are uploading a large number of files it is advisable to create a ZIP file so the buyer only has to download a single file.  Windows allow users to easily create zip files, by selecting the files, right click and send to ZIP files.

  • Preferred file format is JPG, PNG, GIF
  • File dimensions 800px x 800px minimum

Store image (file & format)

  • Preferred file format is JPG, PNG, GIF
  • File dimensions 200px x 200px minimum

What is the maximum length of the store description?

You have a limit of 600 characters within your store description.

Do I have to charge for my resources or can I offer them for free?

You can choose to offer resources for free or you can sell them.  Completely up to you! 

What is school licence?

You can also choose to sell your resource to schools under licence.  When a school purchases a school licence they can provide access to this resource for all of their users within their EducationHQ account.  

What should I charge for my resource, when selling them individually?

$2-$4

A good price for a single resource or activity

$5-$10

Best for a set of resources for a complete lesson

$11-$14

Suitable for a large set of resources for many lessons

$15-$30

Good value for a multi-week unit or scheme of work

What should I charge for my resource, when selling them via a school licence?

The minimum price for a school licence is $10.  We recommend charging between 3-4 times the individual resource cost for a school licence.

What is a zip file?

How much do I earn selling resources?

You will earn 80% royalty on sales worldwide, less a 35 cent transaction fee per resource.

What is stripe?

We use Stripe as our payment gateway for all transactions across EducationHQ to ensure that all transactions and data are held securely.  For more information about Stripe visit their website

What currency will I paid in?

You will be paid in the same currency that you list a resource. Ie if you list in AUD you will be paid in AUD.  

Why do I have to provide bank details?

To ensure the process is seemless, we integrate seller accounts with Stripe (our payment gateway).  The bank details are held by Stripe and used to remit funds to you when you are able to withdrawn funds.

What is the difference between a store and an organisation when I am logged into my hub?

An organisation account is where businesses or associations can manage their users, create online directory listings, promote jobs, events and more.

A store is required to be able to sell your resources online.  Once created it provides a landing page for all of the resources you upload.

How and when do I get paid?

You decide when you get paid.  To request a payment, login to your account.

The minimum payout amount is $10.

Can I use images I found on the internet for my resources?

It depends. There are some websites that share images and clipart royalty free which you are allowed to use.  Other websites may offer to sell images on a per use or subscription basis.  It's always better to use your own images. If you are not sure whether you are allowed to use an image, don’t use it.

Can I use resources hosted on a third party site?

Only videos can be hosted on third party sites, including YouTube and Vimeo.  All other resources need to be uploaded to EducationHQ.

Can I edit a resource once it has gone live?

Yes, you can edit all aspects of resources once they go live.

What if the subject or topic I need is not listed?

Whilst we have created an extensive subject and topic list, we will add more options if needed.  Please contact us: help@educationhq.com
