Christmas Issue: Kind Education magazine with Teaching Guide (Years 3-8)

This special mini issue of Kind Education magazine includes Animal News stories looking at the Melbourne Cup protests, Australian egg labeling standards, protecting wildlife in bush fire season, and the recent decision by SeaWorld in the United States to end their famous orca show after the acclaimed documentary Blackfish. Students will also find two feature articles - one focusing on issues surrounding keeping animals in captivity (circuses, marine parks and zoos), and the other on the many benefits of reducing our meat consumption. The teaching guide for years 3-8 is also included inside and features a range of critical thinking and literacy activities plus focus lesson plans that correspond with the content inside. All activities are aligned to the Australian National Curriculum. Students will also complete activities focusing on having a kinder Christmas based on research and reading activities.
