The thought of taking 75 teenagers away for an overnight tramping adventure is possibly not just a troubling one, but also grounds to have one’s sanity questioned. And yet, year after year, for the past 8 years, I have been a willing volunteer in my school’s Adventurous Journeys, a key part of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is available in three distinct levels; Bronze, Silver and Gold.
