Pre-service partnership a community of practice
The pressure on pre-service teachers soon to enter the profession can be significant, with uni assessments to ace, mentors to dazzle, and prospective employers to impress. So when new teachers Chris McIntosh and Michelle Juerschik were invited last year to participate in a community of practice with staff at Sunshine Coast Grammar School, they relished the opportunity to engage in candid conversations with more experienced staff.
