Schools Recycle Right hits the mark for teachers looking for a curriculum-linked recycling program with real-world relevance. As part of the campaign, Planet Ark offers a range of recycling-themed activities, lesson plans and event ideas that have been developed specifically for Australian primary schools.
This newest interactive activity from Schools Recycle Right, allows students in Years 3-6 to explore how they can reduce rubbish and recycle right. Linked to the Australian Curriculum, the program includes teacher guides, activity sheets and student resources.
Students will explore how their small actions at school can make a significant impact on their environment. Posed with the question, ‘How can you recycle right?’ students will follow the key design elements of empathise, define, ideate, prototype, test and market to investigate how they can reduce waste by recycling right in their school.
