Senior executives and new staff at the New South Wales education department will soon have to spend a week in public schools to learn how they can better support teachers.
Program participants will watch teachers plan lessons, sit in on classroom teaching, take part in administrative tasks and staff meetings, and observe other day-to-day activities such as excursions and playground duty.
