Mixed reception for Dan Tehan's talk of bans on mobile phones

In comments to be delivered at an education conference today, Education Minister Dan Tehan has flagged support for banning mobile phones from classrooms in certain circumstances, while also calling for a simplified curriculum.

Experts on digital technology's effects on education acknowledge that phones do pose challenges, but caution against overzealous bans.
