It's time schools look at how smartphones are impacting our children

The current debate about mobile phone use in schools must focus above all else on the impact on the welfare of students rather than the questionable educational advantages of embracing another new technology in our classrooms.

We laughed at Maxwell Smart’s shoe-phone and those early brick-shaped, cumbersome cell phones.
