Four-year-old children should be taught philosophy, researcher says

The idea of four-year-olds studying philosophy might make some chuckle, but according to school teacher and researcher Benjamin Kilby, you are never too young to reap the benefits of critical thinking.

Teacher and researcher Benjamin Kilby says students can produce longer sentences, express more complex, subtle ideas and build on one another’s ideas through the study of philosophy.

Kilby is undertaking a PhD in Education at Monash University at present, focussed on the Philosophy for Children movement.
