‘Deeply worrisome’: experts blast proposed US maths reform

More than 1000 STEM experts have signed an open letter that slams the “well-intentioned approaches" to reform mathematics in the United States, arguing recent attempts to make the subject more accessible to underprivileged students are of serious concern and dilute the subject’s disciplinary rigour.

As of December 11, 1300 experts have signed the letter.
