Sometimes a teacher who marches into the classroom armed with expert knowledge of pedagogy and practice can still fall defeated at the hands of an unruly class with complex behavioural issues. Ask any teacher who has tried to impart knowledge to that notorious group of Year 10s on a Friday afternoon; behavioural management matters.
