Assistive technology for the blind student
Ensuring blind students can gain equitable access to the new Australian Curriculum is an important challenge for our education systems today. The new Australian Curriculum is increasingly visual. This increase in visual content has come about with the proliferation of interactive white boards (IWB) in multi-media classrooms, which has coincided with the data transfer and storage capabilities of the internet and computers, allowing for more efficient video and image transfers.
