Your opportunity

This position requires strong communication skills, empathy, cultural awareness, and the ability to build trust with young people. Experience working with adolescents, particularly in an educational or community setting, is highly desirable. As a Youth Worker, you connect students, staff, and families to support those facing educational, social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. You report to the Principal or delegate. We value diverse backgrounds and experiences. Reasonable adjustments can be arranged to support an inclusive and respectful workplace.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with school staff, families, and external agencies.
  • Monitor attendance to identify and address student issues early.
  • Build strong links with families to improve attendance and support future pathways.
  • Assist students at risk of disengaging or leaving school.
  • Maintain accurate records and data.
