About our School:
At Crestmead State School was established in 1984 and continues to be one of the largest primary schools in Queensland with a population of over 1440 students. Around 36 different cultural groups are currently represented at the school. Our school is based on working in partnership with parents, carers and family members to teach and help every child, every day to be their best. We have high expectations in all aspects of uniform, behaviour and academic progression. We believe in fair, firm and consistent discipline that ensures that the teaching and learning process is not compromised.
Your responsibilities:
- Worked collaboratively with students, families, teachers, welfare agencies, and community stakeholders to support student wellbeing and engagement.
- Monitored student attendance and identified students at risk of disengagement or early school leaving.
- Conducted home visits and provided guidance and support to students and families to improve educational outcomes.
- Developed and implemented programs focused on social skills, self-esteem, and student wellbeing.
- Maintained accurate records, databases, and student support documentation.
- Liaised with school staff and external agencies to coordinate intervention strategies and positive educational support plans.
- Contributed to a positive and supportive school environment and community relationships.
