Are you a passionate and enthusiastic primary teacher who loves inspiring young learners, developing confidence and building strong foundations for future learning?

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Nelson, Lancashire, to recruit a dedicated and motivated Year 2 Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in January 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Key Stage 1 teacher to join a supportive school community and make a real difference during an important stage of children's educational development.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
  • A strong understanding of the Year 2 National Curriculum and end-of-Key-Stage-1 expectations.
  • The ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • High expectations for pupil progress, achievement and behaviour.
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • A nurturing and inclusive approach that supports the academic, social and emotional development of every child.
  • A commitment to teamwork, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
