Veritas Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-regarded and inclusive primary school in Colne to recruit an enthusiastic, nurturing and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a fixed-term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a school that is proud of its strong community values and commitment to helping every child thrive. With a warm, supportive atmosphere and a focus on developing the whole child, the school provides an environment where pupils feel safe, valued and inspired to achieve their full potential.

As the Year 2 Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for the transition into Key Stage 2, delivering engaging and creative lessons that strengthen children's confidence in phonics, reading, writing and mathematics. Working alongside a collaborative and experienced staff team, you will help children build the knowledge, skills and independence they need to become successful lifelong learners.

Rated 'Good' by Ofsted, the school was recognised for its strong leadership, positive behaviour culture and the excellent support provided for pupils' academic achievement and personal development. Staff wellbeing and professional growth are central to the school's ethos, making this an excellent opportunity for teachers looking to develop their careers in a supportive environment.

If you're passionate about inspiring young learners and making a lasting difference during this important stage of their education, we'd love to hear from you.

  • Enthusiastic, motivated pupils who enjoy learning.
  • Applications are warmly welcomed from both Experienced Teachers and confident Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant EYFS or Key Stage 1 experience.
