About this job

Position Information

Mount Hunter Public School, with a current enrolment of 32 students, is a semi- rural school located in the Camden Network of schools. The strong reference to being a 'Family School' has transcended the Mount Hunter Public School philosophy through its 165-year history, and through its core values of strong family relationships and support.

The two strong threads within the school plan focus on whole school improvement in literacy and numeracy, and the school community working collaboratively to support the wellbeing of all. Each area has attained success with students improving their proficiency levels across the literacy and numeracy domains, and high community engagement contributing to improvement measures across the attendance and wellbeing domains. The school community has high aspirations for all students, academically, socially and emotionally.

The school staff consist of a teaching principal and two dedicated and enthusiastic teachers. The school-based funding allows for the extra teacher to supplement teaching and learning across the stages as well as extra support of a SLSO to sustain our small class sizes. The school employs an extra School Administration Officer (SASS staff) one day per fortnight to assist with student wellbeing, WHS and community relations. Mount Hunter Public School staff are an experienced staff and stability in staff is high.
