A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hackney is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across the classroom, helping them to engage with learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. The role would suit candidates with previous school-based experience, graduates looking to gain experience in education, or individuals passionate about supporting children's development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning across the classroom

  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

  • Assist with lesson preparation and classroom activities

  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning

  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet pupil needs

  • Requirements

    Essential:

  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)

  • Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Desirable:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant

  • Knowledge of SEN and intervention support

  • Degree in Education, Psychology, or a related subject
