South Leeds | Primary Schools

We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants and SEN Support Staff to work across primary schools in South Leeds, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff who are passionate about inclusion and making a real difference in the classroom.

The Role:

You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them to access learning and develop both academically and socially. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech & language needs
  • Assisting EAL learners to engage with classroom activities and curriculum content
  • Implementing behaviour strategies and supporting positive behaviour management
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
  • Helping to create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

    • The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Support
  • Experience working with EAL pupils
  • Strong behaviour management skills and confidence supporting challenging behaviour
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing
