Position Information
Cecil Hills High School is a comprehensive coeducational high school in a growth area of south–west Sydney. The student enrolment of around 1400 students from Year 7 to Year 12 includes 85% of students from a non–English speaking background. The school has 1% of students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school proudly has an inclusive education unit consisting of seven classes. The main languages spoken at home are Vietnamese, Arabic and Serbian. The school has an outstanding reputation for quality teaching and learning, which fosters a productive learning environment, with a history of academic success and high expectations in all curriculum areas. The school has a highly committed staff and an environment where academic success and student wellbeing are at the forefront of decision–making. 
Specific Selection Criteria

-Approval to teach Industrial Technology Timber and Technology Mandatory. 

-Capacity to engage a diverse group of learners across all stages of learning.

-Demonstrated ability to effectively manage practical lesson and enhance student learning opportunities in practical lessons.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a large faculty.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
