Position Information
Northmead Creative and Performing Arts High School (1250 students) is a school with a focus on and a proven record of success in academic, creative and performing arts, vocational and sporting areas. Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Science 7-10 and Biology 11-12, with knowledge of assessment, curriculum, and ability to implement scientific inquiry and practical investigations.
Capacity to differentiate teaching and learning to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners, including students with additional learning needs and high potential learners, while fostering an inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement, critical thinking and student achievement.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in the Science faculty, with support staff and parents in contributing towards school and faculty priorities.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
