Position Information
Newbridge Heights Public School is in Chipping Norton and has a student population of 405. 75% of our students come from EAL/D backgrounds across over 40 different cultures. There are strong relationships with the P&C. The school provides opportunities in sport and performing arts and promotes Respectful, Safe Learners through the Positive Behaviour for Learning program. Priorities in the School Excellence Plan 2026 – 2029 will include reading, numeracy, attendance, learning culture and belonging.
Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach K-6 and approval and/or proven expertise teaching in the role of learning and support, assisting teachers to create, implement and monitor plans for students with academic, behavioural and social- emotional learning and support needs as well as provide teachers with in class support and resources to cater for learning adjustments.
Highly developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, whilst building positive relationships with students, staff, families and the wider community.
Proven ability to analyse and use student data to inform and monitor interventions; including a willingness to support the delivery of the Macqlit program.
Ability to contribute to the schools High Potential Education program including choir, dance, public speaking or debating.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
