Position Information
Narrabeen Sports High School is a dynamic and inclusive, 7-12 comprehensive, coeducational high school, with an enrolment of 780 students, including 18 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. As an Australian Olympic Pathway School, our Selective Sports Academy has a special intake for talented student-athletes. Our significant school upgrade is creating a modern learning environment to inspire teaching excellence. The NEST (Narrabeen Elanora Student & Teacher) collaboration facilitates strong K-12 pathways for talent development in all areas of school life. Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach: History (Years 7-10), History Ancient, History Extension and Society & Culture/International Studies, with demonstrated ability in teaching History (7-10) and Ancient History.
A demonstrated ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and wellbeing and a culture of high expectations.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated capacity to work as a collaborative member of the faculty, and to contribute to the wider school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
