Position Information
Chifley College Senior Campus is a comprehensive, co-educational secondary school situated on the lands of the Dharug people. The school caters for Stage 6 students, focusing on preparing them for the Higher School Certificate, further training and employment. It is one of five campuses of Chifley College. The school features 7 support classes. The student population of 570 is culturally and linguistically diverse. 29% of students have English as an Additional Language or Dialect while 24% of students are from Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander backgrounds and 31% are from Pasifika background. Chifley College Senior Campus enjoys strong partnerships with the local AECG, universities, businesses and local community groups. The Senior Campus maintains a commitment to quality teaching, meeting individual needs, careers, transitions and supports positive post school pathways.
General Selection Criteria
Specific Selection Criteria
- Proven ability to develop and implement quality HSIE teaching programs aligned with NESA syllabuses and coordinate assessment and reporting processes.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of HSIE teachers with a range of experiences and build their skills in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation aligned with the new syllabi for HSIE.
- Demonstrated ability in building staff capacity in the use of data-informed teaching practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and strengthen partnerships with staff, students, parents, and the Western Sydney community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
