About our School:

We are a small school 30 minutes drive from Bundaberg. We have a small number of staff and we work very closely together for the benefit of all the students. Our small school is well equipped with up to date resources. All our students, from the youngest prep students through to our fine young adolescent year 6 students, are nurtured and cared for by experienced staff who have genuine empathy with the young. Your Opportunity:

As the Teacher Aide you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.

The Teacher Aide reports to the Principal or nominated delegate as appropriate. The reporting relationship to teachers may be changed by the Principal on a regular basis to fulfil specific needs within the school.

When supporting students with specific health procedures, a Teacher Aide will be under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse or medical practitioner.

Responsibilities:

  • A requirement to work is the ability to accession new books to library, remove old books and borrow books to students (includes covering and adding books to our library system) or are willing to do on the job training.
  • Initiation of a weekly playgroup at school.
  • Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.
