About the Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group sports to students in out-of-home care
- Assisting with differentiated learning tasks and implement individual learning or support plans
- Supporting students' social, emotional, behavioural and personal care needs
- Collaborating with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supporting learning environment
- Using a trauma informed approach when working with students
This role would suit a compassionate and patient individual with a passion for trauma informed practice and a commitment to support students with diverse needs.
About You
- Experience working with students with trauma backgrounds or in an educational support role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students and families
- Patience, empathy and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
- Ability to assist with student needs as required
- Relevant training or qualifications in education support or a related field
