About the Role:

As the Teacher Aide you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
The Teacher Aide reports to the Principal or nominated delegate as appropriate. The reporting relationship to teachers may be changed by the Principal on a regular basis to fulfil specific needs within the school. When supporting students with specific health procedures, a Teacher Aide will be under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse or medical practitioner.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Support teachers in classroom, sporting, and excursion activities while supervising students and assisting with learning tasks (including literacy and numeracy support).
  • Manage and prepare teaching resources, equipment, and materials, including stocktaking, setup, and maintenance.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support such as record keeping, photocopying, compiling results, and organising activities.
  • Foster student wellbeing by showing empathy, maintaining confidentiality, assisting with special needs, and contributing to health and safety (including first aid).
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, communicating effectively with staff, students, and families while supporting overall school operations.
