About this job

Who we are:

Griffin State School was established in 2016. Our first 246 learners and their families began their journey of learning on 27th January 2016, excitedly entering our beautiful new school that was purpose built to reflect our signature pedagogy of inquiry learning.

The school is built on the Aboriginal lands of the Kabi Kabi nation and we acknowledge the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi people as the traditional custodians of the land. We acknowledge their continuing connection to this land, these waters and this community.

The Griffin State School community have a strong connection to the Pine River as the lifeblood of this area and to the Osprey which makes its' nest on our banks. Our school motto, Anchored in Excellence reflects this connection, along with our school mascot, Oscar the Osprey.
