About our School:
Dakabin State High School, established in 1978, is situated on 60 acres of native bushland and is home to more than 1,000 students. Our school provides a diverse range of learning opportunities and facilities including signature programs such as our Basketball Academy, delivered in partnership with the Brisbane Bullets, and our working farm, which supports the delivery of a Certificate III in Agriculture. About the Role:
- Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in the delivery of classroom and extracurricular learning activities.
- Assist with student supervision, learning support and wellbeing.
- Prepare and maintain teaching resources, equipment and learning environments.
- Perform administrative duties to support teaching and school operations.
- Assist students with additional needs, including personal care where required and appropriately trained.
- Work collaboratively with staff, students and families while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Undertake other duties as directed, consistent with the requirements of the role.
