Mater Maria Catholic College is a Years 7 to 12 Systemic coeducational day school of over 1000 students. The College was established by the Good Samaritan Sisters in 1962 initially as a girls’ school. From 1962 until 1990, twenty-five Good Samaritan Sisters served at the College. In 1979 the College became co-educational and in 1980 the Sisters donated the land of the College in perpetuity. Responsibility for the College was later handed to the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay. At Mater Maria, our co-educational community is focused on learning, positive support networks and an infinite array of opportunities grounded in our shared College values of Community, Hospitality, Justice, Spirituality and Stewardship. Specific Criteria

  • Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School
  • Knowledge and experience to teach Extension Mathematic 1 & 2
  • Knowledge and experience to teach Mathematic Stage 4-6
  • Capacity to contribute to the school’s Continuous Improvement Cycle and is committed to student achievement
  • Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners
  • Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students;
  • Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices
  • Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
  • Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning
  • Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4 year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.
