Do you thrive on delivering expert advice and driving improvements in compliance and operations? Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Advisor – Payroll Systems to help optimise our payroll services.

As the Senior Advisor – Payroll Systems, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our Payroll Services Manager and team by providing expert advice, ensuring compliance, and enhancing payroll systems and processes.
About the role:
- Advise on Payroll Policies and Procedures: Offer expert guidance on payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and alignment with BCE’s strategic goals.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Support the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including Single Touch Payroll, while meeting all industry standards and legislative requirements.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and system enhancements to improve payroll efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and auditors to ensure high-quality payroll service delivery.
- Provide Expert Guidance: Resolve complex payroll issues and offer insights during enterprise bargaining and policy and procedure discussions.
- Support Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of payroll data within our Human Resource Information System and payroll systems.
- Inform Strategic Decisions: Deliver detailed payroll reports and data analysis to support leadership
About you: To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
- In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices.
- Proven experience in payroll operations and process improvement.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive problem-solver who excels in a dynamic environment.
