A welcoming and ambitious primary school in the Rossendale area is seeking an outstanding SENDCO to lead and develop high-quality SEND provision across the school. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to ensuring every child is valued, supported, and challenged to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As SENDCO, you will:

  • Lead and develop the school's SEND provision.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to colleagues across the school.
  • Work closely with pupils, families, external agencies, and staff to ensure the best outcomes for children with additional needs.
  • Teach pupils within the school's inclusion provision.
  • Drive an inclusive culture where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

    • We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience supporting pupils with SEND and emotional or behavioural needs.
  • Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and graduated approach.
  • Has experience coordinating SEND provision and working alongside senior leaders.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
  • Is reflective, resilient, and committed to achieving the very best outcomes for all pupils.
  • Holds, is working towards, or is willing to complete the NPQ SENCO qualification.

    • This is a part-time, term-time-only position. The advertised salary is the full-time equivalent and will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
