  • Have you previously worked in a mainstream or SEN school supporting children and young adults displaying challenging behaviour?
  • Have you supported vulnerable children in a care or foster setting?
  • Or have you got previous experience of sports coaching a wide range of children in various age groups from a variety of backgrounds and abilities?

    • If so, becoming a SEND Learning mentor could be the ideal new role for you!

    Veritas Education are currently working with a variety of different Special Needs/SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) settings in the County Durham area.

    The ideal candidate would be….

  • Passionate about supporting children with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Calm, patient and resilient, even in challenging situations
  • Skilled at building positive relationships and earning pupil trust
  • Confident supporting learning on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Is confident managing behaviour and supporting within a school environment

    • Schools are always keen to meet new TA's, support staff and behaviour/learning mentors, especially anyone who has come from either a care, support worker, coaching or university background!
