SEN Teaching Assistants - Immediate Start and November Start

Location: Longsight, Manchester

We are currently recruiting 4 Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist SEN school in Longsight, Manchester, supporting young people aged 11-19 years.

We have 2 positions available for an immediate start and a further 2 positions starting on Monday 2nd November 2026.

We are looking for caring, patient and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils aged 11-19 with a range of special educational needs.
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support in the classroom.
  • Assisting teachers with learning activities and lesson delivery.
  • Supporting pupils' communication, social and emotional development.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

    • The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a genuine passion for working with young people with SEN.
  • Is patient, understanding, reliable and enthusiastic.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable).
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
