About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team from September to support a pupil in our mixed Year 3/4 class.
This role involves working closely with a child who has an EHCP and is currently awaiting a diagnosis of Autism (ASD) and ADHD. The pupil presents with significant social communication, sensory, and mental health needs, and requires consistent, nurturing and structured support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 tailored support to meet the pupil's individual needsSupport the pupil's emotional regulation, social communication, and engagement in learningAssist in implementing strategies outlined in the EHCPWork collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo to adapt learning activities within the KS2 curriculumCreate a safe, supportive and inclusive environmentSupport with transitions and sensory needs throughout the dayMonitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and parents where appropriateAbout You
We are looking for someone who:
Has proven experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and/or ADHDDemonstrates strong understanding of social communication and sensory needsHas knowledge or experience of the Key Stage 2 curriculumIs patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a calm and positive approachCan build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staffIs proactive and able to use initiative alongside following guidanceWhat We Offer
