Veritas Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to work within successful secondary schools across Wakefield. The Role

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students in lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
  • Assist students with additional learning, behavioural, or pastoral needs.
  • Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support the implementation of individual learning plans and intervention programmes.

  • Have experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, coaching, mentoring, or support setting.

  • Are able to work effectively as part of a school team.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Two professional references covering the last two years.
