The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

Eimeo Road State School is comprised of many buildings and sprawling grounds, including gardens, 2 ovals, multiple playgrounds.

The successful applicant will work independently to carry out daily routine task, and work closely with the Business Manager and Principal to complete a range of tasks as they arise.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain effective communication with the Principal and Business Manager regarding scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks.
  • Attend to repairs and maintenance within the school, including those that relate to furniture and equipment, locks and windows, and other school facilities.
  • Undertake maintenance of school grounds through regular mowing; lawn and garden maintenance including weeding, use of appropriate insecticides and fertilisers; plant, water and care of trees, shrubs and gardens; undertake general maintenance of grounds care equipment such as mowers, whippersnippers, blowers, gerny's, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with WPS guidelines and procedures, including safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers and fuel.
  • Report safety hazards.
