About our School:
A school of approximately 530 students, we are situated at Kallangur, just north of Brisbane. We provide a robust curriculum for students ranging from Prep to Year 6. Additionally, we provide an array of extra-curricular offerings including musicals, sport and instrumental programs. Our focus is on providing an excellent teaching and learning environment allowing children to achieve academic success and develop positive social and emotional skills. Your role:
As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of grounds and facilities to the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate.
You will perform a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard; follow set instructions; and have independence to perform a variety of day-to-day services that are routine in nature. However, the role receives regular supervision when undertaking duties that are non-routine in nature.
As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities you will not be required to perform any task or repairs that would normally require the services of a qualified tradesperson.
Responsibilities:
Facilities and Operations:
- Prepare and maintain school facilities, equipment and operational areas.
- Support events, deliveries, stock control and workplace safety requirements.
Grounds and Maintenance:
- Maintain school grounds, gardens, sporting facilities and equipment.
- Conduct repairs, preventative maintenance and facility upkeep.
Safety and Security:
- Monitor site safety, security systems and building access.
- Respond to maintenance, cleaning and hazard issues as required.
Administration and Planning:
- Maintain records, coordinate contractors and support budgeting and planning activities.
- Contribute to grounds improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.

Progressional roles show a salary range spanning two classifications. Appointment will be made at the level appropriate to skill and fulfilment of required criteria.
