About the Role

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming Humanities department and inspire students through the study of religion, ethics, philosophy, and cultural diversity. The successful candidate will play a key role in encouraging respectful discussion and helping students develop a deeper understanding of different beliefs and worldviews.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Encourage critical thinking and respectful discussion of religious, ethical, and philosophical topics
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment

    • The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school setting
  • Possesses strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student development
  • Has a strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply
